Harvest 2026: an incredible season to remember

There are harvests that define a vintage. And there are some that seem to gather not only the grapes, but time itself. For Venica&Venica, the 2026 harvest is one of them.

It began on August 6, earlier than ever before in our history. An extraordinarily early start, reminding us once again of the vineyard's ability to surprise us, and how our work asks us to listen to it, year after year, as if it were the first.

But this year, among the rows of vines, time seems to have chosen to weave together past, present and future.

For Gianni, this is his fiftieth harvest. Fifty years marked by the rhythm of the seasons, as the climate, wine and ways of working changed, without ever ceasing to learn from the land. A milestone that comes in the very year of his seventieth birthday: almost as if life and the vineyard had decided to count the years together.

And while Gianni celebrates his fiftieth harvest, someone else is experiencing her very first.

Ginevra, Serena's daughter, arrived just a few months ago. She is still too young to know what a harvest is, what a ripe bunch of grapes looks like, or the fragrance that fills the winery at this time of year. And yet her presence already tells the story of a new generation becoming part of the family's history, the fifth, while the vineyard continues on its journey.

In this incredible harvest, time once again takes centre stage in the glass. Thirty vintages of Ronco delle Mele Sauvignon will come together in a tasting that will rediscover what each season has given to the wine.

Thirty vintages to preserve a story.
Fifty harvests to tell the story of a life.
A newborn baby to remind us that every story, when its roots run deep, continues to grow.

Perhaps this is what the harvest teaches us, every time.

Time does not simply pass.

Time puts down roots.

Harvest 2025

30 Years of Ronco delle Mele.

The 2025 harvest has a special flavor. This year we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ronco delle Mele, the Sauvignon that since 1995 has told the story of our home, our roots, and our future.
Already in 1984, after carefully studying the pedoclimatic characteristics of the Cerò hill, we chose the northwest exposure as the ideal site for white wines with a strong aromatic profile. From there, the dream of the “Ronco delle Mele Project” took shape, leading to the first vintage in 1995.
The wine rightfully takes its charming and evocative name from the vineyard itself from which the grapes originate. Even today, along the slopes and headlands, apple trees planted by grandfather Daniele remain, a testament to the traditional mixed farming system in which vines were trained to fruit tree trunks, once used as natural trellises for the vineyard rows.
The roots of our family’s bond with Sauvignon grapes thus run deep: a thread spanning generations, a story renewed vintage after vintage.

Harvest Diary

On August 19, on a bright summer’s day, Pinot Grigio in Ruttars was the first to open the 2025 harvest.
By now, it’s a certainty: our Pinot Grigio from Ruttars always ripens first!
As always, we rely on the wisdom of the vine, which knows the exact moment to offer its fruit. Man cannot impose a calendar: he can only embrace, with respect, the rhythm of nature.
The analyses of sugars, acidity, and pH show an excellent level of grape ripeness, thanks to the climatic conditions: after the heat peaks at the end of June came a balanced July with seasonal temperatures and regular rainfall, without extreme events. All of this gives us high hopes for a great vintage.
Every harvest is a gift: a weave of memory and hope, of labor and celebration.
The 2025 harvest is even more so: a tribute to the past and a promise for the future.
