On 8 September, the centre of Cortina d'Ampezzo was transformed into a large open-air restaurant thanks to the 2nd edition of "The Queen of Taste", with the participation of Cortina's best star chefs and other Italian excellences.

One evening in early June 2017, clarinettist Gabriele Mirabassi and guitarist Roberto Taufic 'explored the various planes of colour and flavour in music'. (cit. Brian Morton)
The recording was made by Stefano Amerio at the Venica&Venica winery in Dolegna del Collio in June 2017 and mixed at the Artesuono studios in Cavalicco with artistic production by Ermanno Basso. Mastering was handled by Danilo Rossi.
"Jazz notes blend with the tasting notes of a glass of wine creating an evening of pure magic.
Emotions run on the wings of the notes of Nítido and Obscuro. Dedicating an unpublished composition to me, Donna Ornella, Gabriele Mirabassi and Roberto Taufic took me to a new dimension that made me feel special." (cit. Ornella Venica)
"Wine and Jazz. In a way, the juxtaposition is inevitable, not because at its origins it was in semi-dark cellars that jazz music found its most devoted audience, but because both require a skilful combination of skill and technique, excellent raw material and, above all, time. Ermanno Basso, producer of the CAM JAZZ label, confirms the deep ties between wine and jazz, which he defines as "both so full of vitality!", and emphasises their common ability to cope with the months it takes to organise that one week of recording, roughly the time it takes for a good Friulian wine to acquire its mature identity." (quoting Brian Morton)
02.06.2018 - We are hosting the Mitteleuropean Race, an international regularity race for historic cars, included in the 2018 ACI Sport Super Classic Cup Trophy calendar and divided into two stages between Trieste, Gorizia, the Collio and the Slovenian coastline.
The starring cars speak of history and feats, and so do the names of some of the drivers in the running, from GIULIANO CANE', winner of 11 editions of the 1000 Miglia, to ARTURO MERZARIO, former Formula 1 driver, known for having helped rescue Niki Lauda from the flames during the accident on the Nürburgring track in 1976.
WINE NEWS: ORNELLA VENICA 'THE CONCEPT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY IN WINE MUST BE COMMUNICATED AND MADE PROFITABLE'
Taking stock of the state of the art of the VIVA - Sustainability in Wine Growing in Italy project, once again from VINITALY, is ORNELLA VENICA, who in WineNews focuses attention on a fundamental issue: the perception of the concept of sustainability among consumers, often confused with that of organic.
"..... it is true that VIVA was born as a project to protect and respect the environment, but wine is still an agricultural product, so it is essential that it be sustainable, also to become a tool for promoting our territory. And this,' says Ornella Venica, 'is the first objective, which we have achieved. The second is to ensure that young people perceive the concept of environmental sustainability when talking about wine: the consumer is still not able to understand what sustainable wine, or winery, means, mistakenly speaking of organic or biodynamic wine, which is in any case very valid, but in the context of Viva the environment comes first, then we also talk about diversity and the vineyard, and therefore agricultural management, which can also be organic or biodynamic .....'
On 18 April next, during Vinitaly, a conference entitled 'Sustainable viticulture Fvg' will be held at Veronafiere in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region stand, Hall 6, mezzanine floor, at 2.30 pm.
The aim of the initiative is to provide wine-growing companies with an innovative governance tool based on the Ministry of the Environment's specification called Viva, the sustainability of wine-growing in Italy, which will provide a clear and measurable image of the companies' ecological and social footprint in the region.
The project Sustainable Viticulture Fvg, financed within the framework of the Psr 2014-2020, is promoted by the partnership of several subjects of the wine production chain: Russiz Superiore, (Project leader), Venica & Venica, Principi di Porcia e Brugnera, Agrisoluzioni (Confagricoltura Friuli Venezia Giulia), Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Piacenza, Desam engineering and environment, Professione consulenti.
Today, one cannot speak of 'quality of life' without respect for the environment! Staying in facilities of excellence that focus on protection and sustainability makes the visitor feel part of a unique process in which producers and consumers are allied: together we make the difference and become "Sentinels of the Territory".
On Saturday 17 March 2018, we present our Sauvignon - RONCO DELLE MELE 2016 DOC COLLIO, winner of the 3 Gambero Rosso Glasses, at the "Tre Bicchieri World Tour" in Düsseldorf. This award marks an important milestone for the company. Gambero Rosso awarded 2 stars for winning the 3 Bicchieri prize for the 20th time.
