The Venica family is honoured to be among the few excellences, which the US newspaper 'USA Today' mentioned for a culinary tour of our region.
\n>> \u2026\u00a0Giampaolo Venica<\/a>, whose wines can be found in some of the best restaurants in the world, is one of the region\u2019s most enthusiastic ambassadors.
\nHis family\u2019s almost-90-year-old\u00a0Venica & Venica<\/a>\u00a0winery is known for its fragrant whites \u2013\u00a0Friulano, Malvasia and Sauvignon Blanc<\/a>. The\u00a0vineyards\u2019 unique location in the picturesque Collio DOC gives the wines impressive depth. \u201cThe rolling hills with many microclimates surrounded by trees allow for wines with more complexity.\u201d says Venica.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tastings at the winery, which has several rooms for rent on the property, naturally feature a bounty of salumi from the best Friulian producers. \u201cWe pair the wines with products like local prosciutto, local cheeses and fresh fish from the Adriatic,\u201d he says\u2026<<<\/p>\n
